How to Use

The best way to use MemoryPlugin with Claude — works on desktop, mobile, and web with no install required:
  1. Go to Claude Settings → Integrations → Add MCP Server
  2. Add the Remote MCP Server URL
  3. Memories load automatically in new chats — including on the Claude mobile app
Add the browser extension alongside Remote MCP for live chat history sync:
  1. Install the MemoryPlugin Browser Extension
  2. Go to claude.ai
  3. Your Claude conversations are automatically synced to MemoryPlugin

Local MCP Server

For Claude Desktop and other MCP clients that prefer a local process:
  1. Install Claude Desktop
  2. Configure the MCP Server (local)
  3. Memories load automatically in new chats

Chat History Import

Import your Claude conversation history into MemoryPlugin:
  • File upload: Export your Claude data and upload the conversations file
  • Online sync: Sync conversations directly from the browser extension
Once imported, your past Claude conversations become searchable and available as context across all your AI tools. See the Chat History docs for more details.
